Purloined Ad or Agency Screwup?

A summary of the leaked Kennedy ad story.

Noah Kunin gives his version of what he did, with apology.

Chuck Olsen shows why the "password" Noah typed to gain access to ad —accidentally, according to Noah — was not a password at all.

Wege compares Noah's misjudgment, and the Klobuchar reaction, to Republican ethical practices in accessing secure files.

Betty goes ballistic in the comments at MN Publius, neatly summarizing all the Republican hyperventilating we will have to endure over this, at least until there are no charges actually filed.

As a former agency owner, I can't believe how shoddy Kennedy's agency was in protecting supposedly sensitive client files. I would expect my firm to be fired for such a breach — or at the very least, not paid for the compromised ad — except we have actual security features in place.

"I would expect my firm to be fired for such a breach..."

What? This is the kind of stuff money can't buy - there should be a performance pay stipulation for the agency - this is gold...

Oh, yeah. You're correct. I meant in the real world.
