At the Michigan state Republican leadership conference on Mackinac Island Saturday, Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty said people living in traditional Democratic strongholds such as Detroit often hold the cliched view that the GOP is a party of elitists.
Um, no. They just hold the cliched view that Republicans don't care about black people.
But never mind that. Pawlenty thinks the GOP needs to reach out to inner city voters — sort of like he has in Minnesota.
