So Mark Kennedy has taken down his campaign site.
"We were informed last evening of a serious security breach of sensitive Kennedy campaign information by a senior member of Amy Klobuchar’s campaign. Due to the fact this information was accessed via the internet, we are taking precautionary measures to protect our campaign information."
The "breach" occurred at the Web site of his ad agency in Dallas. It's difficult to imagine what sensitive campaign information could be on Kennedy's or any Republican public site, since their approach has been to avoid posting information of use to anyone.
For a stellar example of GOP content richness, see the Pawlenty site.
So the possibilities are:
• This is purely a stunt to try to wring more publicity out of a situation the Klobuchar campaign handled ethically.
• Mark Kennedy hasn't learned much about computers since he presided over a major IT debacle at Dept. 56, when he was still employed there.
• Republicans don't know anything about security, and they cut and run when a blogger says boo!
