After a humiliating defeat in the Ryder Cup, Jesus came back to win the Masters on his Special Day.
"Being Easter, Jesus was with me every step of the way. I felt Him," [Masters winner Zach] Johnson said.
Jesus has some splainin' to do to professed Christian golfers Stuart Cink (T-17) and Aaron Baddeley (T-52); not to mention Ben Crane, Berhard Langer and Larry Mize, who failed to make the cut. No doubt there were a few others in the field who cried silently, "why hast thou forsaken me?"
Overheard during the broadcast, as Johnson finished, but before Tiger Woods and others had been eliminated:
"I think it would be nice to see Johnson win."
"Yeah, me, too."Johnson in the tent, waiting for the conclusion: "I could feel a lot of people pulling for me today, and most of all, Jesus."
"Go, Tiger!"
Update:
On second thought, I can see why Jesus may have had to restrict his services to one player on Sunday.
