Katherine Kersten is an attorney. I am not, so I must appeal to other sources to help me explain today's column.
The way I read it:
The trouble with lawyers is their rules of professional conduct consider it a responsibility to offer services free pro bono publico.
The trouble with the Constitution is the first amendment protects free speech and right of assembly.
The trouble with anarchists is they often insist upon free speech and can't afford legal counsel.
The trouble with knee-jerk newspaper columnists is they draw unwarranted connections between attorneys and the clients they represent.
The trouble with the law is we can't just round up people for what they might do. At least in the country, and unless we declare them unlawful combatants.
The trouble with Kersten is she's a lawyer who apparently doesn't get any of this.
