Thirteen nearly simultaneous suicide attacks took place across the country, killing 37 Americans and wounding at least 10. The dead victims included 3 police and 9 children.
The story isn't being reported as an act of terrorism, although a Philippine Taliban chief took credit for at least one of the attacks.
Why not?
Because these weren't actually suicide bombers — the killers all used guns and then turned them on themselves.
