Over the weekend, I saw a video clip from a town hall meeting hosted by Rep. Keith Ellison. A questioner read from a script, ranting about socialized medicine. A group had clearly been sent there to provoke Ellison and get some uncomplimentary footage. The tenor of the meeting was very different from one Ellison hosted on health care that I attended two years ago.
The same thing has been going on across the country, at least some of it organized by the folks who brought you the tea bag rallies.
Video may not be the most efficient way to get across the story of how corporate interests and their lobbying firms are encouraging disruptive tactics at town hall meetings to discuss health care reform. But if you want to see where the Party of No is headed, this will give you a good sample.
