A pickup truck driver is accused of trying to run over a bicyclist and then coming after him brandishing an ax after a road-rage incident in Burnsville last weekend.
— Star TribuneJust a couple of suggestions for both parties:
If you're a cyclist and observe a vehicle rolling through a stop sign:
- Check to see if you're near a trailer park
- If the vehicle is a pickup, just mutter "nice stop" and go on with your ride
- If the driver gets out of his vehicle and accosts you, ride away
If you're a driver and a cyclist yells at you for rolling through a stop:
- Roll down your window and yell, "I know you are, but what am I?"
- Do not try to run him over on the sidewalk
- If you decide to assault the cyclist and your ax is yellow, take a tire iron instead
